How Masabi is impacting my daily life?

Discovering Masabi: A Journey Within
Masabi is derived from two Hebrew words: “masa” meaning journey, and “bi” meaning within me. Combined, they encapsulate the idea of “my journey,” emphasizing a deeply personal and introspective spiritual adventure. In a world where the external often overshadows the internal, understanding and embracing Masabi can profoundly impact our lives. This concept invites us to look deeper into our own souls and understand the intricate connections between our internal thoughts and external realities. It challenges us to embark on a journey that is not defined by physical distance but by the depth of our inner exploration.

The Destination is the Present
Some say life is a game, but I believe life is a journey, and we are the ultimate destination. When people say the journey is more important than the destination, I correct them, saying they are the same as long as we live in the Masabi mindset, accepting that everything happens in the here and now. Being in the present moment is a gift, hence it’s called “present,” and that is the destination. This perspective encourages us to live mindfully and appreciate each moment as it comes. It teaches us that the path we walk is as significant as the goals we set for ourselves.

Living in the Masabi mindset means acknowledging that every experience, whether joyous or challenging, is part of our personal growth. For instance, physical pain can also be a reflection of our internal state. I once experienced persistent shoulder pain that disappeared after I let go of a responsibility that wasn’t truly mine to handle. The mistaken belief that it was my duty caused immense stress and burden, which manifested as physical pain. Once I realized and corrected my mindset, the pain vanished. The main point here is that the reality you are experiencing both inside and outside has one goal: to connect you with the present, with the here and now, with the journey that shines through you and lights your world.

Traveling Journeys as Inspiration
Imagine your best travel experience ever. Think of one significant moment that stands out in your memory as the iconic moment of the trip. Now, take a mental snapshot of your mindset at that moment. Remember how relaxed you were, how present you were, how curious you were, and above all, how clear it was that you were there to enjoy!

Adopting the Masabi mindset means embracing the state of mind we have when we travel: feeling the off-duty relaxation, the presence as we walk passionately, the curiosity we have for the new environment we are exploring, and above all, the knowledge that we are here to enjoy. This mindset can transform everyday activities into meaningful experiences. For example, walking in the street with the Masabi mindset helps you recognize new things on the path you never noticed before.

When we view tasks as opportunities for meditation or occupational therapy that require our utmost attention, we have the chance to breathe into the movement, connect with our soul, and practice the idea that we are not the central focus but rather facilitators of a larger purpose. We are on a journey, but we are not the journey. When life looks a bit boring or meaningless, I remind myself to put some Masabi on it and go through the same experience as if I’m on a journey now.

Does it work all the time? No, but when it does, it’s a powerful tool that can transform your reality in a second from meaningless to fun and exciting.

Life as a Journey and Adventure
The definition of an adventure is that we don’t know what is going to happen. Similarly, with life, we do not know the full purpose of creation and what the future holds. Jewish wisdom teaches us there is a reason why we don’t understand everything, and while we should strive to do our best to understand our part, we also have to be humble enough to recognize we will never get it all, and that’s okay!

I know it sounds confusing, yet the best things in life come when I do something without asking what I gain from it. This is why Masabi is so helpful; I’m on an adventure. When we approach life with a sense of calm, curiosity, and joy, as if we are here to experience an enriching journey, we attain the ideal mindset to live our lives fully.

Masabi = Living on a Prayer
The ultimate goal of every Masabi journey is to find your personal prayer, the unique connection that God placed within you to experience its fulfillment. According to Jewish wisdom, prayer is “Tfila” meaning ensemble broken pieces. We are a miracle, made out of particles, and therefore we have an internal desire to connect. Within each of us, the Holy Spirit has placed certain qualities that serve the complete picture. This prayer is the point of connection that God placed within us so we can experience its fulfillment. It represents our unique purpose and the divine potential within each of us. Discovering this personal prayer requires introspection and a willingness to explore the depths of our souls.

For example, someone might find their personal prayer in the form of a talent or passion they have always had but never fully pursued. By embracing this aspect of themselves, they can live a more fulfilling and purpose-driven life. Some people are born with this knowing they will do this one thing they were meant to do and go for it full power. It doesn’t matter what it is or how you got it; there are many ways to find your prayer. The Masabi mindset encourages us to see reality as a space for learning where physical experiences complement what the inner voice is telling us.

Put Some Masabi on It!

As Nahko Bear well said, “we are a miracle made out of particles, and in this existence, I’ll stay persistent, and I’ll make a difference, and would have lived it.” Life is not always easy, yet when we add the Masabi spice to it, we can change our world in an instant. When we put Masabi on our reality, we remember to be relaxed, present, curious, and above all, know we are here to grow and enjoy.

When I put Masabi, I strive to live in the Present.
When I put Masabi, I know I have a prayer and that I’m connected to something beyond my perception.
When I put Masabi, I remember we are all one, and we can make this, we can create love and harmony.

Lets embrace Masabi for a Better World.
